SEE WHAT’S BREWING AT WATER TOWER PLACE
By Alicia Mongiovi
PJ's
Coffee and Wine Bar located at 54 Riley Rd. in Water Tower Place had its grand
opening on January 19th. Kathy Averill, together with, former Celebration
residents Jackson and Sara Mumey, currently living Watercolor, FL. are the
owners of this location.
PJ's Coffee, founded 26 years ago in New Orleans where it leads one of the
country's most authentic food and beverage markets, is now brewing in
Celebration.
"We are incredibly excited to introduce PJ's Coffee and Wine Bar to
Celebration," said Kathy Averill, co-owner and co-operator of the Celebration
location. "And being situated a short bike ride away from downtown is icing on
the cake.
We are looking forward to meeting our new neighbors, serving them wine and what
we believe to be a 'trade-up' to their existing coffee experience and becoming
this neighborhood's favorite gathering spot." Averill, a long time Celebration
resident, plans to support and volunteer with Celebration High School and other
community based organizations.
PJ's Coffee and Wine Bar, is a wonderful place for a morning coffee, afternoon
pick-me-up, or an after dinner wine. The owners are great, the coffee is tasty,
and the ambiance is delightful!
The sitting arrangements consist of your choice of comfy couches and chairs or
if you prefer the breeze, you can sit outside and chat with your neighbors at
the tables located on the sidewalk. This is a great place for relaxing and
talking with friends.
PJ's could definitely become the place for community groups, book clubs, study
sessions and such-- it's got a wonderful atmosphere. You can sit next to the
fireplace and fresh flowers with your laptop while drinking an arctic iced
caramel coffee.
Stop by and see faces you haven't seen in a while, especially with the
opportunity to talk with so many people from town. The staff is great too,
everyone is friendly and considerate.
PJ's is a wonderful addition to the town of Celebration. PJ's Coffee will be
open from 6:30 a.m.-11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and they will stay open
until 12 midnight on Friday and Saturday. PJ's will also be open on Sunday from
7:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. with Wi-Fi connection for your laptop.
From all of us here at the Celebration Independent, we would like to wish all of
the owners the best of luck with Simply the Best Coffee.
